About

Hi, I'm Saloni

I’m a London-based design strategist with a soft spot for complexity and a background that zigzags through architecture, urban design, and service design. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked across India, Southeast Asia, and the UK, helping shape systems around education, healthcare, food access, and public services.

My design roots are spatial. I started by thinking about cities and how people move through them, but what really drew me in was the messy, invisible stuff: how policies land (or don’t), how services are felt, and how communities make things work despite the odds.

At the National University of Singapore, I explored how urban infrastructure could better reflect the needs of its people. Later, at the Royal College of Art, I honed my skills in designing services that are not just thoughtful, but actionable and scalable.

Since moving to London, I’ve worked independently with mission-led startups and systems-focused initiatives. Some of my favourite projects involved turning agricultural waste into rural livelihoods, rethinking care pathways for older adults, and building service delivery models for more equitable food distribution. I’ve also worked on skilling programs, informal employment ecosystems, and platforms that ask how digital spaces can actually support reflection and long-term impact.

What ties it all together? I love working on early-stage challenges where design sits between big ambition and grounded delivery. I believe good design should feel clear, kind, and built to last.

If you’re into designing things that matter (and don’t mind a few post-it storms), say hi. I’d love to chat.
